Who is responsible
The controller for this data is Vadim Louët, reachable at [email protected].
What we collect
Only if you join the waitlist:
- your email address;
- where the visit came from, read from the link you clicked (for example
tiktok, instagramoryoutube;directwhen there is none); - the date you signed up.
Our providers also handle some technical data on their side. Brevo records the time and IP address of your confirmation click, as proof that you agreed, and whether you open or click our emails. Cloudflare, which serves the site, sees the IP address of every visit, as any host does, to deliver the pages and fend off attacks.
The site sets no cookie and loads no analytics or advertising tracker.
What it is for, and on what basis
To tell you when the alpha opens and when MidiForge ships, and to know which videos bring people in. Nothing else. Your address is never sold or traded.
The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by signing up and then confirming. You can withdraw it at any time; doing so does not affect what was done before.
Who holds it
The list is kept at Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), which also sends the emails. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States).
Outside the European Union
Cloudflare is based in the United States, and Brevo uses some providers outside the EU. These transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Double confirmation
After you sign up you get one confirmation email. Until you click the link in it, you are not on the list and nothing else is sent to you.
How long
Until you unsubscribe, and at most three years after the last email you opened.
Your rights
Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, which also withdraws your consent. You can ask at any time to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format, by writing to [email protected]; the answer comes within a month. You may also complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
